Sisu is a relatively new addition to the North Coast brewing community, opening its brewery and brewpub in downtown Seaside in 2018.

   The word is Finnish, roughly meaning toughness and perseverance, which explains beer names such as Tenacity, Indomitable Spirit and Coastal Grit.

   Sisu brews inside the historic Times Theatre, which debuted in 1941. The fermenting tanks stand behind the big screen where movies are still shown. There’s also a stage for live performances.
