The popular Cannon Beach brewpub is airy and modern, with heavy timbers and vaulted ceilings, an open kitchen with a pizza oven and some 20 beer taps.

Pelican Brewing, founded in 1996 and now producing more than 40,000 barrels a year, currently operates four brewpubs on the Oregon coast.

In Cannon Beach, there’s a 10-barrel brewing system tasked with experimental batches, which means the pub offers occasional exclusive beers. In the meantime, try such favorites as Updrift IPA, Kiwanda Cream Ale and Tsunami Stout.
