A downtown Astoria fixture, Bridge & Tunnel has become the go-to place for hard-to-find craft beer, including special brewery collaborations and barrel-aged releases.

   In his wall of coolers, owner Dwayne Smallwood offers a curated selection of some 500 beers, making sure there are always tasty new brews to try.

   He also runs a friendly taproom with a small bar and a smattering of tables. Smallwood’s presence in the beer zone is so appreciated by local brewers that Fort George named a beer (Dwayne’s World) in honor of his bottleshop’s fifth anniversary.
