Why is a resort hotel/golf course on our list? Because it’s owned by McMenamins Breweries and that means there’s plenty of thirst-quenching craft beer on tap.

   McMenamins uniquely operates two dozen small breweries in Oregon and Washington, giving the brewers some measure of creative control. Collectively, they fill some 47,000 kegs a year.

   They don’t make beer in Gearhart, but the suds flow nonetheless at the Sand Bar.
